Incremental Indexing

(WAIS, Architext)

Incremental indexing allows you to add, modify, or delete documents without reindexing the entire database and without suspending user service. Incremental indexing modifies the index to reflect data changes since the last time the data was indexed. This capability is especially important for network publishers whose data changes often, and whose database size is large.
